Bend Mountain Bike Initiative
Project Hero is proud to announce the Bend Mountain Bike Initiative presented by Project Hero HUB Portland. This is Project Hero's first event in Oregon! This event takes place from September 5th to 8th, 2019 and is open to disabled veterans and first responders. The ride includes 3 days in Bend, riding some of the world’s best mountain biking terrain. The riders will not only feel the therapeutic effects of cycling, but also feel the empowering benefits of being in nature, encouraging hope, recovery, and resilience. Project Hero is excited to bring veterans to central Oregon for this healing and transformative ride.
Project Hero is raising awareness of the national PTSD mental health crisis and is making a difference in the lives of thousands of veterans and first responders, their families and communities by: building and donating adaptive bikes, producing cycling events throughout the nation, and supporting community-based rehabilitation and recovery programs in support of important medical and clinical research. Many organizations provide services that make veterans’ lives manageable; Project Hero makes lives more meaningful.
Please consider helping support Project Hero's efforts to end the stigma around PTSD, TBI and injury by sponsoring this ride today! For more information about the life-changing work of Project Hero, visit www.weareprojecthero.org. Together we can help ensure healing heroes have the resources they need to heal mentally, physically and emotionally.
