SRI's Fundraising Page
SRI is thrilled to be supporting Ride 2 Recovery's California Challenge - a 450-mile cycling journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles, where 100 veterans, first responders, and service members will ride, in conjunction with Boeing, to honor those we lost... one mile at a time.
Ride 2 Recovery supports veterans and service members with various injuries and gives them the opportunity to heal mentally and physically. With more than 60 Project HERO rehabilitation locations nationwide, Ride 2 Recovery provides the opportunity for our healing heroes to come together, educate themselves on bike maintenance, health and nutrition, and get the support system they need from other veterans and coaches. These locations even custom build bikes so that the most seriously injured veterans can still participate. Ride 2 Recovery also hosts special programs like the Mountain Bike Experience, Women's Initiatives, and one-day Honor Rides, where the public can ride alongside our healing heroes.
SRI has teamed up with Ride 2 Recovery to help more healing heroes ride more often! Cycling is not a cheap activity, but with its proven success of saving lives and allowing recovery, it is a price that is well worth it. We have set a goal of raising $2,500, which is enough to donate a bike to a rider in need of his own bike.
Please join us in the parking lot at the back of the building to cheer on these riders as they pass by on Wednesday, October 19th at 1:15 pm. To learn more about this event, visit the California Challenge page.
Thank you for your support of this life-changing organization. Contributions like yours are what make groundbreaking programs like these possible.
