Arby's 2018 Project Hero HONOR RIDE
GET UP. GET OUT. That's the new motto! I will be riding 60 miles on Nov 10, 2018 to make a difference in the lives of thousands of Veterans and First Responders, as well as their families and communities. By participating in Project Hero’s LAS VEGAS Honor Ride, I'm raising funds so that more injured veterans can participate in free, life-changing programs and improve their mental and physical health and wellness.
Every day 20 veterans commit suicide and more than 20 percent of active and retired military have some form of Post Traumatic Stress. Working in partnership on research with Georgetown Univ Hospital and other leading clinical researchers, Project Hero programs have a positive measurable impact on helping those who suffer from PTS and brain injury. Yes, I left the "D" off.....it's "not a disorder, it's not a syndrome, it's a natural reaction to a traumatic experience," says Staff Sergeant and Medal of Honor recipient Ty Carter. Further, "calling it a syndrome creates a stigma that only hurts the soldiers who need to deal with it."
From building and donating adaptive bikes and producing rehabilitative cycling events throughout the nation to supporting community-based rehabilitation and recovery programs and important medical and clinical research, Project Hero is helping ensure a healthier future for our nation’s healing heroes.
Give back to those who have given so much!
Please consider helping me raise funds by donating to my Honor Ride campaign. Your gift will help ensure healing heroes have the resources they need to heal mentally, physically and emotionally. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
Make THIS, and EVERY DAY, the BEST day you possibly can!
