As a Wounded Warrior and a 24-year Army Veteran, I am always honored to participate in several Fundraising events that are geared towards the recovery and progress of our deserving heroes.

This 2023, I along with several wounded veterans, will be participating in several Fundraising Cycling events in an effort to raise awareness and support our wounded veterans’ rehabilitation and recovery programs.  The 1st event is in February 2023, a cycling event with Project Hero, Honor Ride Florida, in an effort is to raise funds so that more injured veterans can participate in these free, life-changing programs and to improve their mental and physical health and wellness.  And the 2nd event to occur in April 2023.

Proejct Hero, formerly known as Ride 2 Recovery, is a non-profit, groundbreaking Veterans program that started in 2008 geared towards the restoration of our many wounded veterans’ lives and their recovery, through Veterans helping other Veterans, numerous cycling programs, and Veterans’ Assistance.

There are 5 R2R main programs that are offered to our many deserving veterans:

1. Project Hero – getting our wounded heroes to ride more and often
2. Challenge Rides
3. Honor Rides – fundraising event geared to raise community and national awareness as well as community engagements
4. Special Events – such as off road cycling and bicycle races challenging our heroes to maximize their physical capabilities despite of physical challenges and disabilities
5. Initiatives – programs towards psychological healing from PTSD, TBI, and MST
