Welcome to Val's Ride 2 Recovery - Las Vegas Honor Ride Page
If you know me I am a Veteran, and I bicycle and I am advanced in years. I am old so “though I spend as many hours on the bike that I used to 20-years ago, I just don’t go as far.”
This will be my last ride before the Ski Season; it snowed above mon Chateau.
It’s all in support of helping other Veterans to enjoy cycling as I have for almost forty years. Your donation on my behalf to Ride 2 Recovery’s 2016 Las Vegas Honor, November 12th is used for equipment and cycling programs to help healing heroes who accept the challenges and rewards of cycling.
Think of your tax deductible donation as an active way to say, “Thank You to a Veteran.” If I can commit to 600-kilometers and you commit a penny, that’s $20.00 dollars, and if I can I find only 100 FB friends, cycling friends, associates, and members of my local Pagosa Springs Community we will have benefactor-ed Ride 2 Recovery by $1250.00. – Almost enough to give a bike to a recovering Veteran cyclist.
You will be helping me on two fronts: 1) a greater motivation to cycle and 2) to prove that Gratitude is an action-verb that must be played forward.
This will be my fourth Honor Ride. My family is committed to this effort. For this past Christmas and my birthday two days later, my gifts from my three sons was a pledge to my next Honor Ride. The boys want to keep me pedaling!
Thank you for your consideration,
PS: From time to time I will keep you posted of my cycling and fundraising progress.
PSS: If you think I will only cycle 1000-kilometers (did I tell you I am probably much, much older than you) then please consider a $10.00 donation. And if your NCAA Pool is a money-maker, then donations of greater amounts are also appreciated.
