My Honor Ride Fundraising Page
I will be riding on November 10th 2018 to make a difference in the lives of thousands of Veterans and First Responders, as well as their families and communities. By participating in Project Hero’s Las Vegas Honor Ride, I'm raising funds so that more injured veterans can participate in free, life-changing programs and improve their mental and physical health and wellness.
For those of you who know me you know that I battle with severe and complex PTSD. It effects my self confidence, self esteem, and how I view the world. Most days my symptoms run rampant but you might never know from looking at me. Cycling is one of the few things that actually calms my brain, slightly, so that I can feel a slight bit of enjoyment. I have been active with Project Hero for four years. They are a tight knit community who try to share the joy and benefits of cycling with all veterans. Please help me help them.
Every day 20 veterans commit suicide and more than 20 percent of active and retired military have some form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Working in partnership on research with Georgetown University Hospital and other leading clinical researchers, Project Hero programs have a positive measurable impact on helping those who suffer from PTSD and brain injury.
From building and donating adaptive bikes and producing rehabilitative cycling events throughout the nation to supporting community-based rehabilitation and recovery programs and important medical and clinical research, Project Hero is helping ensure a healthier future for our nation’s healing heroes.
Give back to those who have given so much!
Help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Honor Ride fundraising campaign. Your gift will help ensure healing heroes have the resources they need to heal mentally, physically and emotionally. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
