2018 Atterbury HUB Launch Ride

Team Roach

We are participating as a team in the Atterbury Honor Ride in support of Project Hero's veteran rehabilitation programs. Please help us save lives by restoring hope and purpose for our nation's healing heroes by either joining our team or making a tax-deductible donation on our behalf. We are riding so that our nation's wounded veterans may also have the opportunity to ride.

A couple weeks ago I participated in my first of what I hope will be many Project Hero events. Many of you know that I am currently in treatment for PTSD and other anxiety disorders. I had no idea the impact my Project Hero experience would have on my recovery. I made connections with other women Veterans who relate to what I'm going through. Those connection are irreplaceable and unique. My desire is to share that experience with other Veterans and First Responders. Project Hero Honor Rides allow communities and those who support injured Veterans and First Responders to share in the Project Hero experience, as give back to the cause through fundraising and donations. Project Hero cannot exist without donations and sponsorship. This program is making a difference in the lives of thousands of mean and women, including me and my family.

Dylan, Dakota and I, and possibly some family friends will be riding 30 miles on May 19, 2018 in the Atterbury Honor Ride. They see the difference Project Hero has made in me in just a short time, and want to help me share it with others. By participating in Project Hero’s Atterbury Honor Ride, we are raising funds so that more injured veterans can participate in free, life-changing programs and improve their mental and physical health and wellness.

Every day 20 veterans commit suicide and more than 20 percent of active and retired military have some form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Working in partnership on research with Georgetown University Hospital and other leading clinical researchers, Project Hero programs have a positive measurable impact on helping those who suffer from PTSD and brain injury.

From building and donating adaptive bikes and producing rehabilitative cycling events throughout the nation to supporting community-based rehabilitation and recovery programs and important medical and clinical research, Project Hero is helping ensure a healthier future for our nation’s healing heroes.

Give back to those who have given so much!

Help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Honor Ride fundraising campaign. Your gift will help ensure healing heroes have the resources they need to heal mentally, physically and emotionally. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
